Inspired by Chef Ariane Aumont’s love of food and community, Le Picnic creates events centered around sharing and gathering with community. With the same spirit in mind, Le Picnic caters private parties and events with experience, elegance and creativity. Menus and events are designed as a collaborative effort with our client’s interest as a primary focus. 

Ariane’s professional cooking experience spans 13 years, inspired by extensive world travel, enriched with Cordon Bleu (San Francisco) culinary education, and nurtured by a rich family cooking history, and multicultural upbringing. An LA native, learning  to cook soulfood with her Aunts in her formative years, Ariane would spend her summer’s in Europe harvesting vegetables in her Grandmother’s Corsican garden and relishing in the secret’s of her French kitchen. Equipped with passion and culinary knowledge Ariane would go on to excel as a private chef in Europe and the USA, for various high profile clients, as well as taking a primary role in establishing many successful food industry businesses and ventures, in California.

Le Picnic is available for catering, event planning, cooking classes, as well as creating unique pop-up events.  



Le Picnic will cater large parties, weddings, intimate diner gatherings, drop off prepared food for weekly meals, help design and plan your soirée menus, cook for your summer garden party, and... we’ll even make you a delicious picnic basket.


We like to share our passion for food and community by creating unique pop-up restaurants, and supper clubs. Le Picnic likes to partner with restaurants, musicians, farmers, fruit growers, vegetable pickers, and you, to enjoy local produce and unique themes while gathering in beautiful settings. Le Picnic events are centered around sharing fresh and thoughtful food.  


Le Picnic offers cooking classes for small groups, with experiences designed to consider the groups interests and needs. We continue to celebrate collaboration by facilitating specialty classes with guest chefs, cooks, artisans, and makers of things.
